As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a versatile and skilled Mechanical/Electrical Technician to join our dynamic team.


Job description: 

We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Mechanical/Electrical Technician to install, commission, and troubleshoot our Climate Control Storage system and Handling & Grading lines in both Australia, New Zealand & the Netherlands. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both mechanical and electrical engineering, with hands-on experience in equipment assembly, wiring, and troubleshooting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the success of our clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment and systems according to engineering specifications and safety standards
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop solutions for complex technical problems
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new systems and upgrades
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and equipment documentation
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
  • Ability to travel approx. 50% of the time to client premises. 


Optional Qualifications:

• Valid Forklift and/or Scissor lift License

• Capable of working independently and/or as part of a team

• Agricultural background is a positive.

Proven experience as a Mechanical/Electrical Technician

Ability to ready and interpret technical drawing and schematics

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles and systems

Hand-on experience with equipment assembly, wring and troubleshooting

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Drivers licence

Competitive salary between $75,000 to $80,000 per annum plus superannuation
